The city of Holladay contracts with the Unified Police Department. The UPD has a precinct in the city and operates a community oriented policing (COP) program. The officers assigned to this precinct provide around-the-clock police services to the community. There are several units within the precinct such as the Uniformed Patrol, the Detectives Unit, and the COP program. The Detective Unit are responsible for conducting follow-up investigations on crimes. The COP officers, on the other hand, manage neighborhood watch programs and direct crime prevention programs. The Traffic Unit is responsible for enforcing traffic rules.
