Millcreek, Utah Police Station Information

The city of Millcreek has partnered with the Unified Police Department for law enforcement services. The UPD has a precinct within the city. Millcreek Precinct is comprised of one Chief, one Lieutenant, eight Sergeants, twenty-five patrol officers, three full-time traffic officers, seven Street Crime Detectives and four Community Crime Suppression Unit (C.C.S.U.) Detectives, two Community Oriented Policing (C.O.P.) Detectives, four School Resource Officers, a full-time victim advocate and one secretary. There are several divisions within the precinct including Patrol and Investigations. The Patrol Division is responsible for traffic enforcement and 24/7 police coverage to all areas of the community. The Investigations Division is comprised of property crime detectives who work closely with C.O.P. detectives to investigate reported incidents. The head of the Millcreek Precinct is Steve DeBry.

The inmates of the Unified Police Department are detained at the Salt Lake County Metro Jail and the Oxbow Jail Facility. Inmates at these facilities are allowed two visits per week, one visit per visiting day. Each visit is 30 minutes in length. An inmate’s visitation schedule is dependent on his housing unit. All visits must be scheduled up to 6 days in advance by calling 385-468-8400.
