The Lee County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Bureau is comprised of three different facilities. The bureau is headed by Commander Scott Ciresi. The Downtown Jail is the central booking facility, with 457 beds. The Core Facility has 1,216 beds, and the Community Programs Unit has 336 beds. The average daily population of the Corrections Bureau in 2017 was just over 1,500 inmates. Visitation with inmates occurs at the Ortiz site, with each inmate being allowed two 60-minute visits per week. Your name must be on the visitor list created by the inmate.
