The Highlands County Sheriff’s Office Detention Facility is the jail used by the Lake Placid Police Department. The Detention Bureau is headed by Major Tim Lethbridge. Visitations are held Monday through Friday 7:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. and Saturday 7:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M., excluding holidays. All inmates are allowed at least 2 hours of visitation per week, not including attorney, law enforcement interviews, and clergy visits. Visits can be scheduled online or through the visitation kiosk in the reception lobby.
