The Derby Police Department is committed to ensuring that the community remains safe. The department has several divisions including Administration and Patrol. The Administration Division is responsible for overseeing the operation of the entire department. Their functions include establishing operating guidelines, budget planning, and overall supervision of department personnel. Inmates of the Derby Police Department are housed in the Sedgwick County Adult Detention Facility. Each inmate here is allowed one hour of free on-site visitation per week.
