The Winfield Police Department can be divided into 5 divisions – Patrol, Investigations, Administration, Support Services, and Communications. The Patrol Division is responsible for conducting daily patrols within the limits of the city and responding to calls for service. The Investigations Division handles follow-up investigations of major crimes which include evidence gathering and interviewing witnesses as well as suspects.
