Specialized Unit

Arson Investigation Unit

The East Lansing Police Department Arson Investigation Unit works in close conjunction with the East Lansing Fire Marshall during origin and cause fire investigations.

School Liaison Officer

Detective Steven Whelan is the School Resource Officer. He works in collaboration with the East Lansing Public School District and works in East Lansing High School. Special Response Team

The Special Response Team (SRT) assists the City of East Lansing, Meridian Township and Michigan State University police departments.
