The Gaston County Jail is the facility utilized by the Belmont Police Department. The facility houses male state pretrial detainees and convicted inmates as well as pretrial federal inmates from the United States Marshal’s Office. The jail has a total bed capacity of 408 inmates. All inmates are allowed visitation, via video and in person.
