The Haywood County Detention Center is the jail used by the Canton Police Department to hold its pre-trial inmates. The jail has a maximum capacity of 150 male and female inmates. Inmate visitation is by appointment only. To schedule a visit, you can call (866) 340-7879 between 8am to 8pm, Monday through Friday, and 2pm through 6pm on Saturdays. All visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance.

Visitation is conducted according to the schedule below:

A-Pod & Annex: Mondays 6:00 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Dorm: Wednesdays 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
B-Pod: Thursdays 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
C-Pod: Sundays 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
D-Pod: Saturdays 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
