The Orange County Detention Center is the facility used by the Carrboro Police Department. This jail is operated by the Detention Division of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. All inmates are allowed visitation and must submit a weekly visitation list. Only visitors on this list will be allowed to visit. Each visit is 15 minutes per inmate. The visitation hours for federal inmates are Sunday 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm. The visitation hours for all other inmates are Saturdays from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
