The Wake County Jail is used by the Fuquay-Varina Police Department to hold its inmates. The Detention Division of the Wake County Sheriff’s Office runs these facilities. The main jail is located at 3301 Hammond Road. A second facility, John H. Baker, Jr. Public Safety Center, which is located at 330 S. Salisbury Street. The two facilities have a total holding capacity of 1,568. All visitations for inmates at these two facilities are conducted by video only at the main facility. Visiting hours are from 9am to 1:30pm and 4 to 6:30pm. Visitation days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
