The Dare County Detention Center holds the pre-trial inmates of the Nags Head Police Department. Inmates at this facility are permitted 30 minutes of visitation per scheduled day with the exception of those in lockdown. Inmates in lockdown are only allowed 15 minutes of visitation per scheduled day. Visitation is held every Saturday from 2pm to 4pm and Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm.
