The Sharonville Police Department’s Investigative Unit is commanded by a Detective Sergeant and is comprised of four officers, two general detectives. Based upon job performance, patrol officers apply for a position in the detective division. They are appointed for a five year period and have the opportunity to gain expertise and training in many facets of police work. The primary purpose of the investigative unit is to support the Patrol Division. The Patrol Division takes incident reports and if an extensive investigation needs to be conducted, that case will be forwarded to our Investigative Unit for follow-up and closure.
