The Cedar City Police Department is comprised of 46 employees with an average of 17 Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS). It has two main divisions – the Patrol Division and the Operations Division. The Patrol Division is responsible for providing police coverage to all areas of the community 24/7 as well as answering calls for service. The Operations Division, on the other hand, is comprised of investigators, the Narcotics Task Force, the Neighborhood Preservation, and the Director of the Safety Solution Coalition. The CCPD is headed by Chief of Police Darin M. Adams.
