Draper, Utah Police Station Information

The Draper Police Department is comprised of 43 police officers and 12 civilian staff. There are several divisions within the DPD including Patrol, Detectives, and Traffic. The Patrol Division is the most visible part of the DPD. The officers are responsible for responding to crimes in progress, answering calls for service, and conducting initial criminal investigations. The Traffic & Motor Squad is responsible for promoting traffic safety and reduce accidents by enforcing traffic laws. The Detective Division, on the other hand, is comprised of experienced investigators who handle different types of crimes such as homicide, domestic violence, and property crimes.

The Draper Police Department houses its inmates in two correctional facilities – the Salt Lake County Metro Jail and the Oxbow Jail Facility. Inmates at these facilities are allowed two visits per week, one visit per visiting day. Each visit only lasts 30 minutes. An inmate’s visitation schedule is dependent on his housing unit. All visits must be scheduled up to 6 days in advance by calling 385-468-8400.
