The Hurricane City Police Department is comprised of 27 full-time officers. It has two main divisions – the Patrol Division and the Investigations Division. The HPD also has School Resource Officers, a Traffic Enforcement Officer, 2 K9 Officers, and a Washington COunty Drug Task Force Officer. The officers of the Patrol Division are responsible for patrolling the various areas of the city 24/7. The Investigations Division handle investigations of major crimes.
