The Kaysville Police Department is comprised of three main divisions: Patrol, Investigations, and SWAT. The Patrol Division is comprised of 14 officers who are primarily responsible for answering all calls for service. The Investigations Division is responsible for conducting follow-up investigations on reported incidents. The SWAT teams, on the other hand, are responsible for resolving issues that officers of the Patrol Division are not equipped to respond to such as hostage situations. The KPD is headed by Police Chief Solomon Oberg.
