Washington Terrace City contracts with the Weber County Sheriff’s Office for law enforcement services. The WCSO is comprised of several bureaus, divisions, and units that provide a variety of services to the community. The Patrol/Operations Bureau is responsible for maintaining an orderly and safe environment for the people living and working in the community. The Investigations and Support Bureau is comprised of the Detective Unit, the Crime Scene Investigations Unit, and the Warrants/Civil Process Service Unit. The Detectives are responsible for conducting follow-up investigations reported to the Patrol Section deputies. The head of the WCSO is Sheriff Ryan Arbon.

The Weber County Jail houses the inmates of the Weber County Sheriff’s Office. The facility can house up to 888 inmates. Each inmate is allowed one to two 25-minute visits per week, depending on their classification level. All visits are conducted on a video monitor and must be scheduled by appointment at least 24 hours prior. Appointments can be scheduled at the jail lobby or online through the Securus website.
