The West Jordan Police Department is responsible for providing a safe and appealing place to live and work. It is comprised of several divisions that provide services to the community. The Animal Control Division enforces city and county ordinances regarding public safety and animal welfare. The Crime Prevention Unit is responsible for providing programs that help reduce crime and the fear of crime in the community such as the Citizens Police Academy, Bicycle Licensing and Safety, and Child ID Kits.
