Criminal Investigation Division
The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is tasked with the responsibility of investigating FELONY and some misdemeanor incidents.
Detectives are also assigned to investigate matters related to juvenile victims and offenders.
Patrol Division
The Patrol Division consists of Uniformed Officers who respond to calls for service, take enforcement action, in an effort to ensure the safety and well being of the citizens of Roseville and those that visit or travel our city.
Officers assigned to the patrol division conduct the initial investigation into the majority of incidents that require police involvement. Officer are also responsible for documenting traffic accidents that take place on public roadways.
School Resource Officer
The Roseville Police Department has joined with the Roseville Public Schools Board of Education to provide a police officer specifically to handle school related needs while school is in session.
The Resource Officer provides a visible presence and acts as a deterrent. Assistance is provided making school related reports, identifying and dealing with drug issues or other matters of criminal law as well as speeding or loud cars, and loitering.
Traffic Division
Roseville Traffic Division is charged with the review of accident reports, citations, traffic studies, and the investigation of serious or fatal vehicle accidents.
Special Investigation Division
Detectives assigned to this unit are responsible for investigations related to illicit drugs, gambling, prostitution and other special assignments, as needed.

- Inmates will be allowed two (2) visits per week with up to three (3) visitors for approximately thirty (30) minutes. Certain trusties are granted three (3) visits per week.
- All friendsfamily visits are conducted via video visitation (either on site or remotely). Please refer to www.icsolutions.com for details.
- On-site visiting is conducted in the Jail Annex, Sunday – Thursday, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM and 5:45 PM – 9:00 PM.

- Visitors must register at least 24 hours prior to the visit, but no more then two weeks in advance.
- Valid picture identification (e.g., driver’s license, State I.D., or Military I.D. with picture) is required of all visitors, with the exception of children under the age of 17. Visitors under the age of 17 must be accompanied and supervised by an authorized adult visitor.
- Visitors may visit up to five (5) inmates in custody (individually).
- It is the responsibility of the prisoner to notify visitors of their program/class schedule. Programs/classes will not be interrupted for visiting.
