This division is responsible for providing police coverage to different jurisdictions within the city of Memphis and conducting investigations of 25 different criminal offenses within their jurisdiction. The Investigative Division is also divided into two units – Personal Crimes and Property Crimes. The Special Operations Division, on the other hand, provides several services such as Crime Prevention, Organized Crime Unit, Special Services, and Traffic. The entire MPD is commanded by the Director of Police Services Michael Rallings.
