The Public Safety Department is comprised of men and women who are cross-trained as police officers, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, and paramedics. Criminal Investigations
Detectives in CID conduct follow up investigations including interviews of victims, witnesses, and suspects. Once their investigations are complete, warrant requests are completed and forwarded to the prosecutor’s office or city attorney. Detectives are then in charge of cases to their conclusion in the court system. The departments property room is managed by CID.
One of the detectives investigates crimes involving juvenile suspects. This detective also works with Fraser Public Schools to handle all complaints in the schools.
Traffic / Patrol
Their Patrol Division provides road patrol services and handles all initial investigations. They have a well trained staff of road patrol officers that perform a variety of duties. Some of the officers work as evidence technicians, accident investigators, defensive tactics instructors, driving instructors, and firearms instructors. Most officers are emergency medical technicians that can provide immediate emergency medical treatment to their citizens.

- Inmates will be allowed two (2) visits per week with up to three (3) visitors for approximately thirty (30) minutes. Certain trusties are granted three (3) visits per week.

- Valid picture identification (e.g., driver’s license, State I.D., or Military I.D. with picture) is required of all visitors, with the exception of children under the age of 17. Visitors under the age of 17 must be accompanied and supervised by an authorized adult visitor.
- Visitors may visit up to five (5) inmates in custody (individually).
- It is the responsibility of the prisoner to notify visitors of their program/class schedule. Programs/classes will not be interrupted for visiting.
