The Pitt County Detention Center is the facility used by the Farmville Police Department to house its pre-trial inmates. This 596-bed facility holds male and female inmates (federal, state, and county). Each inmate is allowed visitation; the schedule of visitation is based on the inmate’s last name. Those with last names starting with A through J have visiting hours on Saturday from 1pm to 3:40pm. Those with last names starting with K through Z have visiting hours on Sunday from 1pm to 3:40pm. All visitors must be on the approved list provided by the inmate. All visits are limited to 20 minutes.
