The Macon County Detention Center is the facility used by the Franklin Police Department to house its pre-trial inmates. This 75-bed facility houses sentenced and unsentenced individuals who have less than a year to serve or are awaiting sentencing. It has 3 male dormitories and 1 female dormitory. Police Reports in Franklin, North Carolina

The Franklin Police Department does not provide copies of crash reports. You can only obtain copies from the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles which is located in Raleigh. For copies of incident reports, you can submit a request to the FPD at least 3 business days after the report was taken. You can pick up a copy of the report during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 9 AM until 5 PM excluding holidays.
