The Brunswick County Detention Center houses the pre-trial inmates of the Southport Police Department to house its pre-trial inmates. The jail can hold up to 444 inmates and is overseen by Chief Jailer Jane Evans. All inmates are granted visitation privileges. These non-contact video visits can be done onsite, online through a computer, and via your smartphone using the Securus Video Visit app. Each inmate is permitted 1 visit per week. All visits must be scheduled no later than 24 hours in advance but no more than 2 weeks in advance. Visitation hours are Sunday through Monday from 9am to 7:35pm.
