The W.E. “Billy” Smith Detention Center operated by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office is the jail used by the Kinston Police Department. This pre-trial holding facility can house 200 inmates. Each inmate is allowed a 15-minute visit each week. Visiting hours are based on the inmate’s last name.
